The Eco-Republic of Theritree, more commonly referred to as the Eco-Republic or Theritree, is a pseudomicronational entity in southwest Idaho. Located on the grounds of Barbara Morgan STEM Academy, a school in Meridian, Idaho, the Eco-Republic of Theritree claims as its territory a single tree, referred to as the Great Tree, which the nation is named after. Founded on 5 May 2024, the micronation is intended to serve as an environmental activism group.
Theritree's government, the Council of Theriotypic Orders, was overthrown on 7 August 2024 by an individual calling themselves Gearheart. However, resistance to Gearheart's rule continues from the Theritree government-in-exile.
In August of 2024, Theritree joined the Barbara Morgan Micronational Alliance.
Etymology
Theritree's name originates from a portmanteau of "theria" (the Greek word for animal) and "tree." These words were selected due to their importance to the concept of the nation.
History
2024
Founding
Theritree was founded on 5 May 2024 by James, Councillor of Felids, and Tegan, Councillor of Canids. It acquired the territory that it currently holds on the same day. Initially adopting an anarchic government form, the Council of Theriotypic Orders was created on 18 May to rule the nation.
Further development
From its founding until August 2024, Theritree developed into a full-blown micronation. Advances in culture and other industries led to the full-scale development of Theritree as a micronation. During this time, several minor disputes between James and Tegan resulted in James stepping down as leader of the Theritree Defense Forces
Gearheart Revolution and government takeover
On 7 August 2024, the first day of Summerfall, six soldiers under General Gearheart, commander of the Theritree Defense Forces, marched into Theritree territory and deposed the Council. This touched off the Gearheart Revolution, a three-day breakdown of the Theritree government and the resulting government takeover, with Gearheart being installed as the Commander-in-Chief of Theritree. During this time, the main government of Theritree split off from Gearheart's dictatorship as the Theritree government-in-exile.
Strikes by Sierra Six
Militant therianthropy group Sierra Six, serving as a mercenary force for the exile government, conducted several strikes late on 29 September 2024. Gearheart's control over Theritree is visibly beginning to slip.

Theritree is ruled by Gearheart, who has total control of every element of Theritree.
Identity of Gearheart
Gearheart's actual identity is unknown. Previously to the 29 September 2024 Battle of Tully Park, it was generally held that James, the former Felid Councillor, was Gearheart. However, during the battle, James and Gearheart traded fire during the engagement, disproving that theory.

Council of Theriotypic Orders
From 18 May to 7 August 2024, the Council of Theriotypic Orders, abbreviated to CTO, was the ruling body of Theritree, a six-member democratic body in which each member has an equal vote. It served to represent the citizens of Theritree, yet was plagued with inefficiency and inactivity.

Military
Prior to the Gearheart Revolution, the only branch of Theritree's military was the Theritree Defense Force. It had a minimal combat capability due to its small size and lack of combat-effective weaponry.

Geography
Theritree is located on top of a small, two-foot rise. This is the only major geographical feature of the nation.
Flora
The Great Tree is a maple tree. Three different types of grass and a few small dandelions grow within Theritree's territory.
Fauna
Many species of birds nest within Theritree. Squirrels have been observed using Theritree as a nesting location and as a route of travel.
Economy
Theritree's economy is small and comparatively basic, mostly revolving around a service economy, with citizens making money in the surrounding macronation. It scores a 2.7 on the Economic Potential Index.
Industries
Theritree, being an environmentally-focused micronation, has relatively poor industrial capacity, with most products being made by hand in cottage industries.
Culture
The culture of Theritree reflects the aspects surrounding its founding. It has a strong emphasis on nature, with holidays celebrating the beginning of winter, spring, summer, and fall. From May 4th to 8th is Leafweek, the "holiday season" of Theritree.
Spoken languages
The national language of Theritree is English. However, Russian, German, Japanese, and Spanish are used for certain official dealings within the Council of Theriotypic Orders.
Education
Theritree lacks education facilities, necessitating the use of macronational schools. Schooling until the age of 18 is compulsory for all citizens.
