The Empire of the East Indies is a house-only, claim-type internet micronation in Metro Manila. It was founded by Mateo de Mar, born Mateo Fernandez.

The Empire is a constitutional monarchy, but this time, the Emperor does not hold a ceremonial role. The Emperor is the absolute ruler. The territory of the Empire spans throughout the Local Group containing the Milky Way and Andromeda.

History

Prehistory

In the young days of the nation, it was an electoral family fun kingdom ruled by Princess Tatandra who ascended to the throne in 2017. The Mansion Kingdom was ruled wisely under Tatandra, until elections came round. By popular vote, Prince Otochoy ascended to the throne in early-midlate 2021. Magnus Palpatine, the then-Divine Minister, allowed Otochoy to become an emperor effective after election. Through the next year, the Empire was split into two by popular demand and soon enough, the Empire of Otochoy and the Downstairs Dukedom were created under an agreement of sorts. The PGR, only planetary at the time, had an agreement with Tatandra. Tatandra made her nation a constituent state of the Republic, deeming it the first constituent nation to live under the banner of the PGR. It was abolished some time after its founding as Tatandra became less fond of ruling under a greater power instead of ruling as the greater power. The Upstairs Empire's territory was later challenged and a war of banter began between the two powers. The PGR, though ruling the entire planet, backed out and forfeited the war. Later on December 18, the Blart Dynasty, headed by the then-Emperor Magnus Palpatine, destroyed the Upstairs Empire with one treaty that would release its territory and cede it to Galactica.

Modern History

Founded in April 15, 2022 as the Pre-Galactic Republic, the Republic was just a Facebook Messenger micronation with no legislative or judicial branch. There were only military generals and Jedi amongst the population, and an executive branch with no departments. This lonely, desolate era would continue until the end of the High Republic. When the Modern Galactic Republic came into play, the Senate was founded along with an official Army group. This era lasted so long that the Republic almost became defunct. Later, the Chancellor would reform the entire Republic into the Established Galactic Empire. 8 Imperial eras and 3 Sith democratic eras later, the Republic would become the Coruscant Republic.

The Abandonment

Now before this catastrophe took place, the Republic took on many agendas. A close friend of the Emperor, Lucas from Satoshi said that the Coruscant was the only micronation he knew from the Philippines, though it kept changing agenda every week.

It happened in Discord when the Emperor pursued legal action against his conniving classmates. He showed them screenshots of the complaint-affidavit for defamation, which is, today in his eyes, a bad tactic.

After a school drama the Emperor was forced by his school to delete the Discord and his own account. It would be the last act of retaliation and the first infringement of his Data Subject rights, a Philippine law passed many years ago.

The Emperor attempted to create a new Discord and "capture" the lost server after having passed ownership to Lucas.

However his classmates once again interrupted this mission, by reporting to their teacher. She then informed the parents of the Emperor leading to an argument which injured him on the left arm. The thing is, the Emperor was (and still is) in the process of withdrawing from his school after deciding he'd had enough of the "failing" school systems in his country.

The Emperor had lost everything once again. The 1st war was lost. After some time, the situation cooled over and the Emperor began rebuilding from the ground up. He certainly would not forget about his classmates and what they had done.

He created a new email and a new YouTube account in 2024 and eventually (maybe finally) took on a final agenda that wasn't Germanized.

Politics, customs and government

The Empire is traditionalist and opposes all K-Pop and anime that exists. It especially opposes woke ideals and degeneracy. All beliefs and race are welcome with open arms, and equality is exercised in the nation. Yes, church and state can separate. The Empire does not believe in pronouns or gender spectrum but same-sex relations are fine.

Judiciary

In the Judicial branch, judges and attorneys are appointed and approved by Parliament through a series of tests, and lie detection. Medical examiners are present in a civil or criminal case to confirm if an injury is self inflicted, true or makeup. There is a court for every administrative unit. No members have been approved.

Legislative

The Parliament has two houses: one for the Empire and one for the People. The House of the People has many divisions such as House of the Federation, of course housing representatives from federated states. The House of the Empire only has 2, they are for Nation and Lords. They are elected to a 4 year term. No members have been elected.

Executive

The Roundtable is the cabinet of the Emperor consisting of special lords and great veterans in the Empire. They are responsible for the affairs in and out of the ENTIRE nation. No members have been appointed.

The Empire's official currency is the Zaragozo, backed by the reserve of the Empire, which is in Philippine peso.

Culture

The Empire's culture is novelty Filipino music and story building. It preserves old outdoor games and great memes. Cuisine is mainly ramen from a specific restaurant in the Philippines and corned beef.
