Etymology The country of Rusilk took some inspiration from the country of "Russia" and decided to just brainstorm using Russia as a base, eventually finding "Rusilkia". History Important Events in Rusilkian History There are a few important events in Rusilkian history such as the: 2023 Rusilkian Constitutional Crisis, Assistance with Munster (formerly Atillaterra) in the war against the Union of Manspole, and the 2021 Disbandment of Rusilk. Politics and government The nation's government is a People's Republic. It is Libertarian, and is a semi-militaristic people's republic. This is not to be confused with the People's Republic of China, which is communist, unlike the People's Republic of Rusilkia. Early government Rusilk's early government was a Democratic Republic, but if we are talking about EARLY EARLY government then well we really had no government. There was just a President who didn't belong to any political party, and was pretty much an evil dictator (i guess) {Head of state} The powers and abilities of our head of state are again, restricted to the ideal of the parties the head of state belongs to. The head of state is the President and the Vice President. {Head of government} The powers and abilities of the head of government is restricted to the ideals of the parties the members of the head of government are apart of. The head of government in Rusilkia is the Governmental Advisor, and is sometimes the Vice President. {Legislature} The nation's legislature is a State Assembly, and is Unicameral. Political parties There are currently 3 political parties in the Rusilkian Government. Those three are the People's Party, the Democratic Republic Party and the Rusilkian Federation Party. The RFP (Rusilkian Federation Party) has only recently been introduced and was an active member of the 2023 Rusilkian Presidential Elections. The People's Party and Democratic Republic Party are the most active in Rusilkian politics, with both parties having won an election. It has 1 active member, with 1 in reserve. It has the same weaponry as the RGF, but in different sizes than the ones used in the RGF. The main weapon used by the RDF is known as the "Batak", which can be translated to Baton in Rusilkian (not a complete language, only a few words are in the language such as "Batak", "Zahkhlam", "Largkhlam", etc.). The RDF regularly trains alongside the RGF which also mainly are on Saturdays and Sundays. No special trainings for the RDF are done in the summer. Our judicial system has only recently been introduced (as of May 7th, 2023) and isn't very developed. We mainly base it off of common sense laws and sometimes even eye-for-an-eye. Military The military of the Democratic Republic of Rusilk, also known as the Rusilkian Ground Forces (RGF) is the main land force of Rusilk. There are 2 branches of the RGF, the Rusilkian Army (RGF) and the Rusilkian Naval Infantry (RNI). The military as a whole currently has a few active members who do there job well. The main weaponry of Rusilk consists of branches which is what we are restricted to due to the area where Rusilkia is located. The RGF regularly has trainings, usually on Saturdays or Sundays. In the summer, the Rusilkian Naval Infantry has training's on the beaches of Kashloga as well as in bodies of water (pool, the ocean, etc.). The RGF consists of the 1st Medikal Division, the 1st Mekanika Division and the 2nd Skoutikos Battalion. The RNI doesn't have any divisions in it. Most of the land the nation has claimed has been taken by requesting a person who lives in the area Rusilkia wants to claim to take it. A few areas they have taken are Chernogorsk, Kashloga and Queensland. If it is winter, it is cold. If it is summer, it is hot. Rusilk is in a suburban area, so the terrain is mostly urban, but Rusilk is located nearby the ocean, so there are beaches as well. Rusilkia is in a good place geographically for overseas trade and other such things like that. It can be bad geographically too, as it is located in a suburban neighbourhood. Economy Rusilk's currency is USD, since Rusilkia is located in the United States. There are also few jobs available in Rusilk, such as: Janitor/Sanitation Chef Farmer Police Lawyer Judge Culture The way the people of Rusilkia are educated is by the Rusilkian Educational Corp, a subdivision of the RGF. People in Rusilk love to participate in "The Arena" where they fight eachother using branches found around Rusilkia. Rusilk also regularly holds Ceremonial Dances where someone plays a song on the speaker (usually the national anthem) and the people dance to it in a circle.
