The counciliary Republic of Romulius of Retz, more commonly known as Romulius of Retz, is a micronation in France. It is a federal republic, where federated states, like the Kingdom of Donnoiretz, takes great places in the micronation's internal politics. It comes from the merge of two others micronations.

The legislative and executive powers are under the control of the diverse romulian heads of state. The chancellor has more power than any other head of state.

Romulius of Retz hasn't much diplomatic relation, except some discord micronations.

History

Romulius

In 2019, Mr Bernard created Romulius, and his currency, romulia. Next year, he renamed the Romulian Central Bank into Bernard Co.

Kingdoms of Retz

In october 2021, Antichain (pseudonym) created the Oligarchic Generational Absolute Kingdom of Donnoire (OGAKD). This kingdom became the Oligarchic Generational Semi-Parlementary Kingdom of Donnoire (OGSPKD) in december, then the Oligarchic Generational Semi-Parlementary Kingdom of Retz (OGSPKR) in february 2022. These successive kingdoms could be considered as just an unique one man nation, because all of them had an unique common Constitution which has been updated during the time, and the name had changed with it.

Romulius of Retz

It was approximatively the 15th February 2022 when Antichain (pseudonym) and Mr Bernard met each other. Slowly but surely, they began to become friend. One time, they knew each other about their respective micronations. The two micronations merged in a federal one, which would be known as Romulius of Retz. Antichain considered himself as the king of a new federal kingdom, but not by Mr Bernard. So he decided to be just the king of Donnoiretz, 13th of December, within Romulius of Retz. At the same time, he began to write a new Constitution for that Republic. This one has been published in 15th of February, that is now the National Day.

Some new persons came in the new Republic, like Freeh (pseudonym), who created the Commune of Brittany. Mr Bernard has been elected 10th of march 2023 as the first chancellor of the Romulius of Retz. 11th of October, a person quitted Romulius of Retz and created a nanonation. But two days later, another person take the throne of Donnoiretz as an emperor.

Coups

The emperor decided on 14th to claim all Romulius of Retz. On 30th, Mr Bernard declared the "open war". On 27th of november, almost one month after the war declaration, a peace treaty is imposed to the defeated emperor.

But on 7th december, Freeh and another person made an ultimatum for more democracy for Romulius of Retz. In reaction, Mr Bernard banned them. After the creation of Romulian Popular Front (RPF), joined by Antichain against Mr Bernard, he has been forced to rehabilitate them and accept the reforms wanted by RPF.

On 8th of February, the former emperor decided to reclaim all Romulius of Retz, but fortunately, negociations stopped that third coup.

First diplomatic relations

By March 2024, Antichain became minister of diplomacy and Outer Affairs, and made some diplomatic relations with some micronations, such as State of Samizdat and Kingdom of Salanda.

Politics and government

The government is ruled by a chancellor, who is also the head of State.

Chancellor

Chancellor presides the monthly federal council, with head of the federal States. He can nominate ministers to help him in his function. He also represents Romulius of Retz for foreign relations.

There are for now two ministers in Romulius of Retz : Antichain, minister of diplomacy and foreign relations, and Freeh, delegate minister of the redaction of penal Code.

There are actually three constituted federated States, also known as constituted federal States in Romulius of Retz. That means that they have a Constitution in addition of the Constitution of Romulius of Retz and so their heads of States have a place in the federal council.

Geography

Romulius of Retz is formed by a bunch of enclaves inside France, except Pilier Island, revendicated by Donnoiretz. It makes this State the biggest, even if the island is unhabited.

Economy

The currency is the Romulia. There are three romulian enterprises : Francium software, Book'tik and medFAMA. The two first are in the romulian Bourse.

Culture

Romulius of Retz hasn't a great culture, due to the relatively short history of it, but there are a few traditions, like the National Day, celebrated in February 15th. There are two official languages : french and simplified french. Kingdom of Donnoiretz has Frerman as an official language. Commune of Brittany has Breton as an official language.
