The Quissimopulist Democracy of Locibarpulo, more commonly known as Locibarpulo, is a micronation in the Midwest. It currently holds the entire state of Missouri, excluding land already claimed by other micronations. Locibarpulo started its existence as the Communist Democracy of the United States (CDUS) but was quickly reformed as Locibarpulo with the new political idea of Quissimopulism, which takes the best aspects of communism and adds parts from more Western ideals. This was done to not become a target of anti-communist groups and to be more appealing to Americans.

Locibarpulo has two main governing bodies; the Senate and the High Council. The High Council deals with foreign affairs and creates new laws. The Senate votes to present those laws to the public, who vote on whether or not to ratify them. Either group may investigate and vote to remove and replace members of the other.

It does not take much to be recognized as an independent nation by Locibarpulo; your nation must simply not endorse the prevention of freedom and equality (for example, the United States is no longer recognized by Locibarpulo as independent due to recent laws restricting medical choices in a multitude of ways.)

Etymology

The name Locibarpulo comes from the latin locus liberatus pari populo (LOCus lIBratus pARi poPULO) meaning place of the freed equal people.

History

The Nestlé War

The Nestlé War is an ongoing conflict between the micronation of Locibarpulo and the megacorporation Nestlé. The war was started when Councilor Johnathon Miller learned of the many atrocities committed by Nestlé, such as feigned ignorance of mass poisoning, and actively funding slavery. The war is to end only when Nestlé no longer exists, and all of its facilities shut down permanently.

Quissimopulist Societas

On Jerimge 26th, 1 DL, the First High Council formed the Locibarpulan Societas, an alliance with Locibarpulo at its head. Locibarpulan Foreign Relations agents have been searching for micronations willing to join since the foundation of the Societas.

Missouri Annexation

On Starthill 4th, 1 DL, the First High Council made the decision to annex the entire state of Missouri, excluding Missourian micronations, as per Locibarpulo's claim policy.

Politics and government

The High Council

The High Council is a small group of Locibarpulans who are elected by the people every year. A person elected to the High Council must wait one year between terms but may be elected any number of times. They are tasked with creating new laws and dealing with foreign relations, and may also investigate and vote to replace any member of the High Senate with the candidate they believe is best suited for the role. Each member of the high council may propose two laws to the senate leading up to Election Season.

The Senate

The Senate is a large group of Locibarpulans who are elected by the people every two years. A person elected to the Senate does not have to wait between terms, but may only be elected four times. The Senate is tasked with controlling the cost of the tax, setting the year’s national least-risk wage, keeping track of national wealth, voting on laws presented by the High Council leading up to Election Season, and may also investigate and vote to replace any member of the High Council with the candidate they believe is best suited for the role.

Political parties

Locibarpulo does not use a system of political parties. This is to ensure that the votes of citizens are not based on loyalty to a party, but on what they believe to be best for the nation.

Military

The Locibarpulan Military consists of four main branches; Knights, Lancers, Scribes, and Engineers. Knights act as all forms of soldiers on the ground, from cavalry to artillery. Lancers operate all forms of combat vehicles. Scribes act as battlefield medics, transport supplies, and record events on the battlefield. Engineers, as the name suggests, design, build, and maintain military technology.

Foreign Policy

Locibarpulo determines the independence of other nations based on whether they commit 'crimes against freedom.' If a nation does not endorse the prevention of freedom and equality, Locibarpulo is open to recognizing it as independent.

Administrative regions

Locibarpulo has a rather simple claim system; any Locibarpulan may claim macronational or unclaimed land for Locibarpulo, but land owned by other micronations may only be taken if it is in mutual agreement between the two nations.
