The Deseret Legion is the official military force of the Holy Kingdom of Deseret, based on Joseph Smith's Nauvoo Legion of the nineteenth century. At present, the Deseret constitution requires two years of armed service from all able-bodied male citizens, and one year from all able-bodied female citizens.
