The Crown Prince of Uzkukia (Welsh: Tywysog y Goron o Uzkukia) is the title granted to the heir apparent to the Uzkuk throne. They are also the second highest government official after the monarch. It is customary for the crown prince to stand in for the monarch in their absence, and manage the affairs of the state until the monarch's return. The crown prince is also seen as the de facto deputy head of the royal family and the government. Consequently, they are the second most powerful state official in Uzkukia.
The crown prince is appointed by and serves at the monarch's pleasure.

Role
The decree creating the office defines that the role of the crown prince is whatever duties are devolved on him by the monarch. The monarch may also relieve the crown prince of their duties while keeping them in office.
Common duties it is expected the crown prince will conduct include:
- Granting honours on the monarch's request and behalf,
- Conducting state affairs in the monarch's absence,
- Representing the state abroad,
- Representing the monarch and the monarchy,
- Attending military ceremonies on the monarch's behalf,
- Advising the monarch on government affairs,
- Attending the privy council,
History
The office of crown prince dates back to 8 August 2024. The office was constituted by a decree issued by Colin I to establish and outline the succession laws of the kingdom. The decree outlined the fundamental basics of the office including the title, style and appointment process. It also secured the crown prince's place as the heir apparent to the throne.
Privileges
Styles
The decree creating the office stipulates that the style of the crown prince is "His Royal Highness". However it is customary, like when talking to the monarch, to use the crown prince's style the first time he is addressed in the conversation and then to be referred to as "sir" from then on.
Household
It is generally expected that the crown prince will form his own royal household subordinate to that of the monarch's upon appointment as crown prince. The crown prince's household consists of the crown prince, their spouse and their closest staff to support and advise them on the duties devolved on them by the monarch.
The staff of the crown prince's household are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the crown prince.
Standard
Customarily, the crown prince is usually authorised their own standard as a senior royal. The standard is usually mirrored on that of the monarch but customised to the particular crown prince. They bear the standard for the duration of their term in office or until they succeed the throne and become entitled to use the monarch's standard.
Appointment
The crown prince is appointed by the monarch and serves at their pleasure - allowing the line of succession to be determined by the monarch. However, it is customary for the eldest son of the monarch to be appointed to the office. In some instances the monarch may appoint a daughter instead, amending the title to "crown princess".
Upon the appointment of the crown prince, they appointee is required to swear an oath of allegiance to the monarch. It is also expected that the crown prince will practice Roman Catholicism.
The monarch can dismiss the crown prince at any time.
