The Austenasian Ambassador to the People's Republic of Bangladesh is the official diplomatic representative of the government of the Empire of Austenasia to that of Bangladesh.
As Austenasian recognition of Bangladesh is not currently reciprocated, the position is - at present - unaccredited, and serves a primarily ceremonial role.
The Empire of Austenasia first officially recognised Bangladesh as a sovereign state on 27 December 2008 with the passage of Act 37 (Recognition of other States). On 13 August 2015, Professor Sanjib Bhattacharya was appointed Ambassador-at-Large for the States bordering India, with a to remit to oversee the diplomatic activity of the Empire in four countries, including Bangladesh.
Austenasia's first Ambassador to Bangladesh itself was Ariful Islam Al Muyed, who was appointed as such on 1 September 2015 after being nominated for said position by Professor Bhattacharya. Soon after his appointmentment, Mr Al Muyed sent a letter to the President of Bangladesh in an attempt to gain recognition for the Empire, but no response was ever received.
In 2021, a review of diplomatic staff was made by the Foreign Office, with all the then ambassadors asked to reaffirm their wish to stay in office. On 22 January 2022, Mr Al Muyed was dismissed as Ambassador to Bangladesh after failing to respond.
He was replaced by Varuna Sriraya, Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra on 15 May 2023. Sriraya served until his resignation on 7 April the following year.
