The SocialDemocratic Leadership Elections of 2011 was triggered by a general election which resulted in a hung parliament. On 2 November, Alexander Eastwood resigned as Leader of the SocialDemocratic Party for choose a new leader. On 2 November, Lucy Moore became the new Leader of the SocialDemocratic Party.

Results

In accordance with the principles of the Alternative Vote system, until one candidate won a majority, the candidate with the fewest votes in each round was eliminated and his or her second preference votes distributed to other candidates.
