Arkaporean constitutional referendum, 2018
A non-binding Constitutional referendum took place in Arkapore in 28 July 2018 in order to inquire Arkaporean citizens whether to support reform to a republican government or to preserve the geronto-monarchy system.
The results were published in 9 August 2018 with the plurality for a republican form of government. Arkaporean government later did not execute the referendum results as the government system in the country remained unchanged, with Tian Abdurrahman remained as the Chairman of the Royal Council.
Background
Since its establishment, Arkapore (previously named Bobodolands) already accustomed with the procedure of referendum, thus "city of Referendum" was preserved as Bobodolands nickname for a period in 2013. Beside its political system, Arkaporean status inside Indokistan was another major issue on several Arkaporean referendums.
Arkapore, with its strong ties to Sundanese social system that emphasise on consensus and communality, is officially a gerontocracy (rule by elders), an unique system of governance among micronations. Despite its constitutionality, Arkaporean government for several times contemplated reform to another form of government.
Arkapore also already hold a referendum in 2014 on the same issue with the exactly same question. On that referendum, plurality of citizens voted for a republic in Arkapore. Despite the results, Arkaporean government remained a constitutional monarchy, with Tian Abdurrahman maintained his "Chief of Arkapore" title.

The referendum options was published at the same time with the ballot paper a week before the referendum, with the final decision of the question of the referendum would be "Do you accept the proposed amendment to the Constitution?".
