He has formerly served as the acting prime minister of the Republic of the Union of Ratchasima after the resignation of Prime Minister Korn Indradecha on June 7, 2024, and multiple Ratchasimese government seats, including the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is also one among three individuals appointed by the Supreme Head of Queensland to sit on the Statsrådet serving as an advisor to the Queenslandian monarch.
Political career
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ratchasima (May-June 2024)
After the election, he became a member of the National Assembly of Ratchasima on 21 February 2024 in Kham Sakaerat district and he was appointed by Silagorn Kulsanthea as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ratchasima.
Acting Prime Minister of Ratchasima (6-15 June 2024)
On 7 June, he was appointed by Silagorn Kulsanthea as Acting Prime Minister of Ratchasima, replacing Korn Indradecha who resigned on 6 June 2024.
Presidency (2024–present)
A few days after becoming First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ratchasima, Silagorn Kulsanthea announced her resignation as President of Ratchasima, making Hassanzadeh the first candidate for the presidency of Ratchasima as stated in the constitution of the republic.
On 14 June 2024, he was voted in the National Assembly of Ratchasima as the next President of the Republic of the Union of Ratchasima. He was sworn in on 15 June, in front of a large number of guests. Hassanzadeh chose Albert of Helmond-Nassau as the new Prime Minister in his cabinet, and he created a new cabinet to run alongside him.
Foreign relations
Queensland
Hassanzadeh is one of the people with close ties to Baudouin, the current King of Queensland. He was one of the people who worked with the Queensland Government on Operation Luminesia. On 10 February, he was appointed by Baudouin as a Member of the Queenslandian Statsrådet, the first foreigner to be so honoured.
New Capanesia
When Hassanzadeh was still Minister of Foreign Affairs, he criticized Piya Daengja's political performance many times. He saw Piya Daengja as weak in politics and Piya Daengja was a weakness in New Capanesia.
And when Hassanzadeh became president, during the appointment of his first cabinet, Silagorn Kulsanthea and Albert Helmond-Nassau proposed to appoint Piya Daengja as Minister of Interior. At that time, Piya Daengja accepted Hassanzadeh's appointment. But because at that time, the diplomatic crisis of Ratchasima-New Capanesia resulted in Piya not being able to be a minister, he chose to resign and left insults for the people of Ratchasima. This made Hassanzadeh very unhappy with his actions, so he ordered the Minister of Foreign Affairs to announce his order to officially suspend relations with New Capanesia.
On July 4, he came out to severely criticize Piya for his diplomatic actions towards Queensland after he learned that Queensland and New Capanesia had severed diplomatic relations for a long time. He criticized Piya that "Selfish and unintelligent in administration"
On September 3, he represented the General Assembly of the Thailand Micronations to sign the Lamunnarai Agreement, giving the General Assembly a greater role in New Capanesia. The Lamunnarai Agreement is similar to Cambodia's Paris Peace Accords.
Monzen
The relationship between Ratchasima and Monzen during the era of Hassanzadeh began to develop more. The first meeting of the two leaders was held in early September 2024, when they met with Matthew de Villa, the leader of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Monzen, through the introduction by former President Silagorn Kulsanthea. Both sides discussed maintaining strong relations and ties, building a unified community, sharing and exchanging cultures, making friendships stable, supporting each other's administration, and strengthening the relationship between Ratchasima and Monzen.
