The 24th Special Forces Battalion also known as the Tactical Special Operations Battalion (TSOB) is a battalion of the 2nd Army Infantry Regiment of the Arstotzkan Army Corps.
Originally created as the Vulcan Squadron (5th Division, 2nd Regiment, National Army) as a part of Project Vulcan, which was to form a special operation group of the National Army of the Arstotzkan Union Defense Forces. On 4 November it was given the name Vulcan Squadron (Tactical Special Operations Squadron, TSOS) however during the Second AUDF Reform Period and with the passing of Executive Order 0001 on 31 October 2021, it became the 2/4 Special Forces Battalion and on 25 October 2022 nearly a year later it became the 24th Battalion, with the armed forces adopting the Republic New Zealand system.
The 24th Special Forces Battalion is one of three special forces groups that actively endorse high performing soldiers into Task Force Vulcan.
