The 2022 Mere by-election was held on 3 January 2022. It was caused by Lana Avery being dismissed as MP for Mere after a violent incident with the government at the Battle of Denes. The by-election was won by the radical Feminist Party, who are committed to dismantling the patriarchy and abolishing the monarchy, for them to have their first seat in Hilltop Parliament.
This was the first and last election in Hilltop to be taken using Alternative Vote, before the Stennerian system is implemented in March.
