As it was rumoured, party even prepared the list of 6 possible MPs in case of getting more than 90%. However, official statements from party leaders were not as confident: while Smagin predicted getting around 80%, his close colleague Pavel Ponomarev said that 60% will be a satisfactory result.
Empire of Storm's brothers
Despite a poor result in a presidential run, Vadim Petrenko, relying on a growing support from Central Region, decided to take part in the elections with his Empire of Storm's brothers. While yet again not providing any program except strong nationalistic messages, Empire was the only oppositional choice to consolidate the oppositional electorate regardless of their political preferences.
