The Third Front is the ongoing conflict part of the Greater Metro East War. After the major NITM victory during the Second Front, the now Great Taydrostian Empire have begun to focus on retaking their land and fighting Schpecktenia and New Prussia directly.

Battle of the Vaughn Continues

After the major victory, NITM and South Meadowen went back to Vaughn. With New Prussia losing some of their taken land, they secretly sent the PMC Wotan. Wotan is more of a secretive military unit, and Schpecktenian officials are planning on interviewing a Wotan Officer in the near future. Wotan has been used in many New Prussian wars, and was created for the Schpecktenia-Liveno War. To put it simply, Wotan is extremely trained and seem to have their own plans, slightly independent from New Prussia.

Wotan made it into Vaughn, planning to do significantly better than the regular New Prussian Army. NITM held a defensive position, and after a longer skirmish, two NITM soldiers surrendered. Throwing all rules and expectations followed by all parties of the Greater Metro East War out the window, Wotan fired upon the surrendering NITM soldiers.

Stalemate and Diplomatic Advances

After the initial battles in Vaughn, the fighting died down again at the end of January. NITM took the opportunity to restructure their government, integrating South Meadowen as a province. South Meadowen was allowed to be semi-independent with its foreign policy, engaging in positive relations with Schpecktenia. Throughout February 2024, most parties expected the war to end peacefully and diplomatically in the coming months.

Invasion of New Prussia

On the 26th of February, 2024, Taydrostian Nationalists launched a mass terror attack against New Prussia. Nationalists attacked the mainland of New Prussia while the majority of the Imperial Army were being redeployed from the Battle of the Vaughn. In an emergency conference, Kaiser Luka I mobilized the entire New Prussian military to the mainland to halt the incursion. PMC Wotan had their contract extended and has been deployed to the frontlines.

In an announcement, Kaiser Luka I announced that after the battle was over, New Prussia will show no mercy in its counterattack of Taydrostia.

"When we enter your homeland you will not be able to even comprehend the punishment and destruction we will rain onto your homes. No mercy will be shown! Abandon your posts, abandon your homes, abandon all hope and run! We will obliterate anyone who stands in our unstoppable march! Your national identity. Your Culture. will all be destroyed!"

After this conference, fighting intensified in the frontlines, with New Prussia holding back the attacks from Taydrostian forces and liberated some lost territories.
