Ebareny (Pronounced ['ebaʀeni'] ), officially the United Republic of Ebareny or just United Ebareny, abbreviated UE, is a self-proclaimed microstate, usually called micronation by external sources. Ebareny claims the Antarctica island named Île Gelée by the Ebareny government. Île Gelée is located in the Marie Byrd Land unclaimed region, West Antarctica. Ebareny's national capital, and its financial centre is Auxmure, and the government buildings are situated in "The Square". The official languages of Ebareny is German, Portuguese and English.

Etymology

The word Ebaren is derived from the German word "Eisbär", which means Polar Bear, as the territory claimed in Antarctica is normal to have the presence of polar bears. The United Republic comes from the union of territories in a single sovereign state with the parliamentary republic system, thus forming the United Republic of Ebareny.

The United Ebareny is a unitary state under a parliamentary republic. The president heads the state of the United Ebareny and invested primarily with representative responsibilities and powers. He is appointed by the chancellor. The Constitution of the United Ebareny is partially uncodified, consisting primarily of a collection of disparate written sources, but the majority part is codified. The House of State can carry out constitutional reforms and has the political power to change or abolish almost any written or unwritten article or element of Constitution of the United Ebareny. For this reason, no sitting parliament can pass laws that future parliaments cannot change.

The United Ebareny is a parliamentary democracy and a de facto one-party state based on the Westminster system with some changes. The House of State is almost entirely sovereign being a unicameral legislature, and the president approval is required for a bill to become an act of parliament.

The House of State Members are elected every year based on open list proportional representation. The Liberal Party Union (LPU) is the largest and the only current party of the House of State as a de facto one-party system, although other political parties are legal.

The chancellor heads the government of the United Ebareny and is also a member of the House of State. The chancellor is appointed by the House of State as the leader of the majority party, and holds the office by virtue of their ability to have the confidence of the House of State.

Law

United Ebareny has a civil law system. The Constitutional Court is the Ebaren's Supreme Court responsible for constitutional matters, with power of judicial review. The supreme court is specialised for civil cases.

Criminal laws are codified on the national level in the Ebaren State Code, not available for the public.

Law enforcement and military

Law enforcement in the United Ebareny is carried out by the Ebareny National Security System (ENSS). The United Ebareny has no standing military in the Constitution, but in the facto the ENSS has typical military functions and works like an armed forces, which is responsible for all law enforcement and duties related to the nation. The chancellor is the commander-in-chief of the ENSS.

The Liberal Party Union is currently the only registered political party in the United Ebareny and has the total seats of the House of State. The party leader is elected by the LPU members and chooses the chairperson. The chancellor is often used to be the leader of the LPU and the chairperson, the president.

Public holidays

Public holidays in the United Ebareny, known as statutory holidays, consists of a variety of cultural nationalistic and religious holidays that exists in the United Ebareny at the national level. Many of these holidays are honoured and acknowledged worldwide.

There are six nationwide statutory holidays. Most workers, public and private, are entitled to take the day off.
