StreamEiffel is a planned free over-the-top (OTT) New Eiffelic short film streaming service which will operate by linking the user to third-party links (such as YouTube and the Internet Archive) through the web page-creation tool Google Sites. The project is a venture by Royal Archives as apart of their Film Archive & Preservation project, which is supported by Z&jProductions, the largest film production studio in the erstwhile New Eiffel.

History

A New Eiffelic video streaming service had been in consideration since late 2019. In late June 2020, Zed began working on ideas for a streaming service, and later production for StreamEiffel officially began on 27 July, originally under the name "Zstream". It experienced several setbacks however, and would later be abandoned on 13 August. Following New Eiffel's dissolution on 1 November, the service had no national backing. The project was revived on 14 March 2021, as a venture by the Royal Archives as apart of their Film Archive & Preservation project, which is supported by Z&jProductions, the largest film production studio in the erstwhile New Eiffel.

The service is expected to launch near the end of 2021.

Films

New Eiffelic films are stored in several different locations, and as a result the search for them all is currently ongoing. As of March 2021, the service has seven films.
