Zemlyastan, officially the Sublime State of Zemlyastan, is an unrecognized micronation. Zemlyastan was officially established on 15 November 2023 by Discord users orzqr and thecerber_. It lacks any recognition, formal or otherwise, from the United Nations or any other macronational entity, and maintains mutual recognition with the United Socialist Republics (USR).
As of December 2023, Zemlyastan is a puppet state of the United Socialist Republics, commonly known as Almendria.
History
The Sublime State of Zemlyastan was officially founded as a Discord server on 15 November 2023 by Discord users orzqr and thecerber_ with inspiration from Discord user hirescat.
Almendrian controversy
In late 2023, agents operating on behalf of the Polonian Presidential Dependency of Valenowa under the orders of Michał II of Valenowa uncovered a scandal within the Zemlyastani government. An anonymous Zemlyastani official confirmed the presence of Almendrian agents within the Zemlyastani Discord server, and admitted that he and a number of other leaders were tricked into founding a micronation in order for the USR to utilize it as a cryptocurrency scam. He reportedly apologized, and urged many others to leave the server. This came following an attempt by Discord user thecerber_. (later identified as an alternate account of Tizian Aruna) to persuade the Michał II of Valenowa to invest in a cryptocurrency created by Zemlyastan, an offer which was quickly refused. As of 19 December 2023, Zemlyastan remains a puppet state of the USR, and an illegal cryptocurrency scam.
Foreign Relations
The Sublime State of Zemlyastan unofficially recognizes all established macronations, though its micronational affairs are dictated by the United Socialist Republics.
