The Solidus was the currency of the Kingdom of Coleraine. It replaced the Ultach Pound Sterling in August 2009. It was replaced by the Sovereign on 15 November 2009. £1 KCS is equal to £1 GBP. Each coin had the following written upon its front:
IOANNES AMADEUS DEI GRATIA COLERAINUM OMNIUM REX & ARCHDUX SANCTUS IACBOUS "Seán Amadeus, by the Grace of God, King of All the Colerains & Archduke of Noamh Séamus."
On the reverse can be found the motto:
CONSUETUDO • PIETAS • MONARCHIA "Tradition • Piety • Monarchy".
Solidus
The Solidus is the highest form of currency in the Kingdom of Coleraine. It is equal to £50 KCS. The Solidus is to be made of pure gold, and is in the shape of an octagon. It is so expensive that it is only used by the nobility and the richest of aristocrats and merchants.

The Coleraine Pound
The Pound is the second highest form of currency in the Kingdom of Coleraine. It is equal to 1/2 of a Solidus, 2 Crowns and 100 Shillings. The Pound is to be made of pure silver, and is round in shape. It is commonly used by all classes.

The Crown is the second lowest form of currency in the Kingdom of Coleraine. It is equal to 1/200th of a Crown, 1/2 of a Pound and 50 Shillings. The Crown is to be made of pure bronze, and is in the shape of an circle. It is the main unit of the Solidus used by the working classes.

The Shilling is the lowest form of currency in the Kingdom of Coleraine. It is equal to 1/50th of a Crown, 1/100th of a Pound, and 1/10,000th of a Solidus. The Solidus is to be made of pure copper, and is in the shape of a circle. It is most commonly used by the lower classes.
