Samir A. W. is a politician in the State of Rovia since 2023. One of the founders of Rovia, he is currently the Minister of Finance[1], and Minister of Agriculture[2]. He also writes for the newspaper the Rovani Times.

Personal life

Samir A. W. was born in 1976 in Cairo, Egypt. He lived in Alexandria for most of his childhood before immigrating to San Jose in the United States of America and becoming an American citizen. After completing college, he went to become an engineer, and he has worked on many projects in San Jose and Los Angeles.

Micronational career

Due to being a member of the Royal Family, Samir A. W. was one of the first to learn of the project of the foundation of Rovia. Once he had learned all about it, he decided he wanted to join in as one of the founders and contribute to Rovia. During the Rovia Secessionist Movement, he was one of the movement's leaders, advocating for Rovian independence. After independence was achieved, Samir became one of the first advisors to the King, alongside with Sam M and Esty Carpentieri.

After a long time spent only in writing the informal and popular Rovani Times newspaper, he registered as a politician and joined Sam M.'s cabinet as Minister of Finance and Minister of Agriculture in the 2023 elections. He also became a Member of Parliament.

Rovia

After resigning his post of advisor to the head of state in late february 2022, citing health reasons, he began writing for the Rovani Times, a position he found more of a hobby rather than a job. He wrote mainly special edition articles of the newspaper, like the Eid and Ramadan specials. After being appointed as Minister of Finance and Minister of Agriculture, Samir shared his plans to the public, stating that his main objectives will be to open the first ever Rovian farms, which would increase the self-sufficiency of the country, as well as open the first monetary museum, which will contain currencies from all over the world. He also stated that a new Rovian currency project would be introduced in the long term.

Personal Views

Samir A. W. could be described as a democratic socialist, as he supported both Bernie Sanders' and Cornel West's bids for the presidential election. He also supports immigration, citing that 'America is a land of skilled workers and has always been a melting pot, to change that mentality is impossible.' He also supports Cenk Uygur's views.
