Politics and government of the Republic of Suntrain |

In the Republic of Suntrain, the Socialist Party of Suntrain, sometimes known as SPS or the Socialist Party, is a democratic socialist party. As the sole party in Suntrain, the Socialist Party presently has all seats in the national assembly. The SPS was Suntrain's first political party, and it is credited for founding the country and consolidating its standing in the micronational community. It was originally known as the Suntrain Communist Party.
History
The Suntrain Socialist Party was created on October 31, 2013, as the Suntrain Communist Party. The Republic of Suntrain was founded by its founder, who also served as its first general-secretary. The CPS applied to be registered as the first Suntrainien political party after the nation's constitution was adopted on November 1. It stayed that way until one day after the constitution was signed, which the constitution said was the deadline for the formation of any new parties. As a result, the CPS won the first election by default and became the Republic's first President.
Dat Nguyen, who was appointed as Minister of Defense, was his deputy. As Suntrain got older, the CPS formed alliances with other countries and advanced its concept of equal rights, religious freedom, and press freedom, as well as environmental conservation, via the passage of various new laws. Suntrain declared war on the Grand Duchy of Westarctica in mid-November when it threatened the territory and reputation of its ally, Chico. During the war, the CPS was renamed the Socialist Party of Suntrain in order to develop the democratic socialist philosophy that it had set intended to achieve since its inception. "We have the same intentions, just a different name," he said briefly about the subject.
Because the SPS was still the only party in the country, it was able to win all of them and demonstrate its national dominance. As the conflict proceeded and new legislation was being considered, the decision was taken to terminate two of the party's founding members due to communication concerns, costing them their seats in Parliament. Eddie Osmanovic, Sean Lu, Sam Mathew, and Thomas Pace were brought in to replace Dat Nguyen and Nikola Gorgioski. All of these people were friends of's who showed an interest in joining and were so accepted. Mr. Nguyen's position as Vice President was left vacant due to his resignation. The Vice Presidential election was then held, with Mr Mathew being the sole contender who was successful in winning the position.
