The Space and Aeronautics Research Administration (SARA) is a Vyomanian organization dedicated to the exploration of space and aeronautics research.
Agency logo
SARA's adopted logo is consisted of a space shuttle lifting off and 'SARA' written in Samarkan font. SARA did not have an official logo until 2021.
Goals and Objectives
''There are some who question the relevance of space activities in a developing nation. To us, there is no ambiguity of purpose.''
-Vikram Sarabhai
''Many individuals with myopic vision questioned the relevance of space activities in a newly independent nation. If Indians were to play a meaningful role in the community of nations, they must be second to none in the application of advanced technologies to their real-life problems.''
- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
SARA is the national space agency of Vyomania for the purpose of all space and aeronautics related stuff. Vyomania is inspired by the vision of A.P.J Abdul Kalam and Vikram Sarabhai and ISRO, the national space agency of India. SARA's goals are to
- Expand scientific understanding of the Earth and the universe
- Create innovative technologies
- Advance aeronautics research
- Spread knowledge and fight pseudoscience
- To apply the knowledge gained to inspire Vyomanians
Launch vehicles
SARA is building a rocket named Agniraj which will be launched in Diwali.
Applications
Telecommunication
SARA developed software to send messages, alerts and stuff like that but it was later discontinued because there are existing softwares like Signal and Element and there is no need for developing separate software.
Military
SARA and Vyomanian military aim to develop powerful weapons like the Kali astra. Vyomanian military is working with SARA to use SARA technology in weapons.
Research
SARA focuses on observing the stars, planets, and moons. Constellations are used to identify the stars and the position of stars is noted down. Then, the institute uses a software to understand the object's position, velocity and distance.
SARA also studies potentially habitable planets and moons. SARA's Project Extraterrestrials (PET) is the study of the possibility of extraterrestrial life. SARA uses data taken by ISRO and other space agencies to understand whether intelligent extraterrestrial life exists, and if it does then how.
