The Corps of Royal Marines (RM), commonly known as the Royal Bastaran Marines, comprising the Royal Bastaran Marines Commandos and the Royal Bastaran Marines Band Service, provide the Kingdom of Bastara's amphibious commando force and naval musicians. They form Bastara's special-operations commando force and amphibious light infantry.
As a specialised and adaptable light infantry and commando force, Royal Bastaran Marine Commandos are trained for rapid deployment worldwide and capable of dealing with a wide range of threats.
History
The marine corps was established by the Armed Forces Decree on 10 June 2023 and were developed further by the Naval Service Decree.
Current Status
Personnel
The Royal Bastaran Marines Commandos are an elite fighting force, they are part of the Naval Service. The rank structure of the Corps is similar to that of the British Army. Uniquely, in the Royal Bastaran Marines, officers and all other ranks undergo initial, commando and specialist training together.
Formation and Structure
The overall head of the Royal Marines is Judah I in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. However, sometimes the holder of the five star officer rank of Captain General (currently Judah I) is sometimes seen as the ceremonial head of the corps. Currently the primary leader of the corps is the Commandant General Royal Bastaran Marines.
Customs
Uniforms
Marine uniforms have designed to be similar to that of the Bastaran Army due to similar aspects in the nature of both's role. The major difference between uniforms is that the marines utilise more distinctive items. These include the distinctive green beret (awarded to those who pass the training course and become commandos) and the dark beret with a red flash behind the cap badge (for those who are not commandos yet). The marines parade uniform is designed to be dark blue work with a white and red peaked cap.
