The Prime Minister of Rhodesia is the de facto head of government of the Democratic Republic of Rhodesia. They hold special abilities such as the ability to dissolve parliament, the ability to Veto legislation from the House of Delegates, the ability to reject executive orders by the President, and the ability to lead investigations into impeachment trials. The Prime Minister is elected by their colleagues in the House of Delegates. In order to become PM, the leaders of the largest two parties must compete against one another for the position by election, whoever attains a majority of the votes by their colleagues becomes Prime Minister of Rhodesia.

The office of the Prime Minister's term limits are virtually renewable as long as they keep getting chosen by the House of Delegates.

The Unilateral New Constitution is expected, when ratified, to keep all of these posts in tact, as well as those of the President of Rhodesia.
