Phillip "Phil" Heisner is a Hamlinian Politician, convicted felon, leader of the Hamlinian Communist Party, President of the People's Republic of the Oasis Islands and served in the Hamlinian Civil War. He was convicted on several charges on December 22, 2011 and was stripped of citizenship for 6 months, among other charges.
Personal life
Heisner was born in 1996 to his mother (a small store owner) and father (electrician). He realized his communist viewpoints developed at age 11 after reading a book about Fidel Castro, whom he greatly admires. Heisner then met Current President of the Hamlinian Republic Casey Hamlin in 2010. Hamlin at first did not like Heisner due to his strong communist values, but then decided to become friends for reasons unknown. Once Hamlin founded the Hamlinian Republic, Heisner criticized him for the democratic government and cut ties with Hamlin. The two did not speak until the Hamlinian Civil War, which Heisner won.
Hamlinian Civil War
On November 5, 2011, Heisner with the help of the Hamlinian Communist Party (a party he started a month earlier) made makeshift boats and rowed over to the Oasis Islands, a Hamlinian Territorial Claim. Upon arrival, Heisner declared secession from the Hamlinian Republic. Furious, Casey Hamlin refused to recognize the secession, calling the Island "Ours and always ours". Heisner declared war on the Hamlinian Republic, starting the Hamlinian Civil War. Heisner renamed the Island The People's Republic of the Oasis Islands, and began fighting. As of November 12, 2011, the PROI consists of the Oasis Islands, Loonshore Island, and Hamlinistan, while the capital, Hamlinia, stays in Hamlinian control. Heisner has been injured multiple times during the war, once after getting shot with airsoft pellets less than 5 inches from this face, getting pistol whipped in the face, specifically the nose, and after getting hit by a rock during the Battle of Loonshore Island. On November 12, 2011, Heisner won the war, becoming the president of a legitimate nation, only to lose it ten days later.
Non-Existence Controversy
After the Hamlinian Civil War, Heisner and his nation quickly became disputed. This controversy began Hamlingate, which included the IMTO's Trial against Hamlin, which is ended in Hamlin's acquittal.
The People vs. Phillip Heisner
The People vs. Phillip Heisner is a court case that is to be held on Heisner's charges of War Crimes, Trespassing and Treason. The Case started the week of November 28, 2011. Supreme Court Justices Hamlin, S. Hamlin and Stefanko presided over the case with Heisner working in his own defense. He was found guilty on one count of treason and five out of eight counts of trespassing. He received several minutes of air soft firing squad.
Race for President
Heisner announced he was running for President of the Hamlinian Republic in the 2012 Hamlinian Presidential Elections. After a Coalition Against Terrorist States Tribunal, it was decided that Heisner was ineligible to run for President.
