The peerage system of Westavia (Westavian: Gentraeum Wectavae) was the system of Westavian titles and land areas granted to wealthy and influential people within the Empire. The system of titles was encompassed by the Lords Assembly, and the Sotom for various periods. The system was founded de-facto when Shahan I, in his capacity as Prince of Westavia granted the title Duke of Donnauberg to his close political ally. The system was created de-jure when Shahan I was crowned Emperor of Westavia in Laskaridia City. Since then various noble titles have been created, they were disestablished formally after the fall of Westavia but many Westavians kept their titles well into the Juniperian era. Ater the Insurgency in Westavia, the titles were disestablished including many prominent ones due to the threat they may be vessels for radical Westavian revivalism and Alturianism which were both banned by Juniperia and the Westavian regional authorities. After the signing of the Saintathen Accords and the creating of the Kingdom of Laskaridia, the King of Laskaridia re-created all Westavian titles held by Laskaridian citizens, only 3 were extant. The records for the Westavian title system were stored in an array of documents (subsets of the Mogunesian Chronicles) titled THE HISTORY OF THE WESTAVIAN PRINCES, KINGS, LORDS, DUKES AND COUNTS.[1]
