The Order of Åland is the highest military award that you can receive in the Åland State. The order was created on the 31 December 2023 by Axel Himberg. To get the award you have had to have had done extraordianry contributions to war efforts for either the Republic of Åxenö or the Åland State. There are two classes of the Order of Åland, first and second class.
First Class
First class is for people who have fought in many wars for the Republic of Åxenö or the Åland State and have done extreme contributions to the war effort. First class is the highest award you can get in the Åland State. As of 31 December 2023 only one person has the first class medal.
Second Class
Second class is for people who ahve fought in atleast one war but have done extreme contributions to the war effort for the Republic of Åxenö or the Åland State. Second class is the second highest awardyou can get in the Åland State. As of 31 December 2023 only two people have the second class medal. Wilmer Himberg is the only one with a Order of Åland Second Class but with the Coin of Coup ribbon bar.
