A New European constort is the spouse of a ruling Emperor or Empress. Consorts of monarchs in the New European Empire and its predecessors have no constitutional status or power. The title of a female consort is empress, being the wife of a reigning emperor. However, female children are not barred from the line of succession. In the event a female ascends to the throne she holds the title of New European Empress, and her spouse Imperial Consort.
