The County of Moriskval is an unrecognized sovereign city state (better known as a micronation) within the United States and was the former capital of Qaflana. Moriskval was created after Alex Halbesleben abdicated the throne of Qaflana and after the eventual dissolution of the state, Moriskval claimed all territory that Qaflana had previously held.
Etymology
Moriskval has an unknown etymology. It is said to originate from Charles Ross' affinity for Germanic names.
History
Moriskval doesn’t have much history because it hasn’t been around for a long time. It was born out of the ashes of Qaflana. It is in many ways the successor to Qaflana. It was an early member of the LPN and the Count, Alex Halbesleben, serves as the Deputy Secretary General of the League.
Government and politics
Moriskval is an absolute monarchy under the complete control of the Count. The position of Prime Minister is in existence, but is not currently filled.
Culture
Moriskvalian culture is based off of American culture. It has yet to develop a unique cultural identity of its own primarily due to the relative young age of the country.
