  4. Prison and Probation Services: Managing prisons, correctional facilities, and probation services to rehabilitate offenders and ensure public protection. This includes overseeing the treatment and care of prisoners, providing rehabilitation programs, and monitoring offenders released into the community.
  5. Legal Aid and Access to Justice: Providing legal aid and support to individuals who cannot afford legal representation. This may involve funding legal advice and representation for those facing criminal charges or civil disputes, as well as promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
  6. Human Rights Protection: Promoting and protecting human rights within the legal system. This includes ensuring compliance with domestic and international human rights standards, as well as investigating allegations of human rights violations and supporting victims of injustice.
  7. Victim Support Services: Providing support and assistance to victims of crime, including compensation, counseling, and advocacy services. This may involve helping victims navigate the criminal justice process and access the support they need to recover from their experiences.
  8. Legal Profession Regulation: Regulating legal professionals, including lawyers, judges, and other legal practitioners, to ensure ethical conduct and professional standards. This includes licensing, disciplinary proceedings, and ongoing education and training requirements.
