The Ministry of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (MER) is a department of His Majesty's Government established on 3th February 2024, responsible for a range of

issues related to environmental protection, agriculture, food safety, and rural development.

Responsibilities

Environmental protection

Developing and implementing policies and regulations aimed at protecting the natural environment, including air, water, and land. This may involve initiatives to reduce pollution, conserve biodiversity, manage waste, and address climate change.

Sustainable agriculture
