The Minister of Trade, sometimes known as the Trade Minister, is an executive department head in the Government of Lugrad and member of the Council of Ministers. They have overall responsibility for the Department of Trade and for trade policy.
Responsibilities
The remit of of the trade minister includes:
- Forming Trade Agreements for the Republic of Lugrad
- Managing the Development of Ports of Trade Across Lugrad
- Maintaining Current Trade Agreements with Other Countries
- Supporting Lugradian Business with Trade
Appointment
The trade minister is appointed by the President of Lugrad in their capacity as head of state. However, the president typically does this on the nomination of the prime minister. The trade minister, like the prime minister, is typically a member of the Assembly of the Republic.
