The prime minister serves as head of government and chairs the council of minister.

Government and Politics
The nation is a de jure semi-presidential republic. However, since foundation it has been a de facto socialist republic.
President
The president is the republic's head of state. The office is vested with executive power though typically devolves this to the prime minister and acts as a more ceremonial office.
The president serves as commander-in-chief of the national armed forces and also the General-Secretary of the Worker's Party of Lugrad.
The president appoints all cabinet ministers, including the prime minister. The president can call, prorogue and dissolve the assembly of the republic and is required to assent to all bills before they can become law.
The president is the highest office in the republic.
Prime Minister
The prime minister is the head of government in the republic. They are appointed by the president, typically after nomination from the Assembly of the Republic.
The prime minister sits as chair of the council of ministers and nominates members of parliament for office in the cabinet. They guide the legislative process in the assembly and oversee the day-to-day management of the nation and of government. They also play an important role in party as they usually are a senior party member.
The prime minister also acts as a key advisor to the president.
Assembly of the Republic
The assembly of the republic is the unicameral legislature of the republic. It is presided over by a Speaker. Government ministers, including the prime minister all typically sit in the assembly. Members are known as Members of Parliament or Members of the Assembly.
The assembly has de jure supreme legislative ability but under the socialist republic that power is primarily vested in the government.
Members are elected by party list proportional representation.
Political Parties
The republic is designed to be a de jure multi-party democracy but is a de facto one-party state. The nation's one party is the Workers' Party. In practice, the president of the republic is typically the General-Secretary of the Workers' Party.
Law and Order
Law is enforced by the Lugrad Police Forced, established on 26 February 2023, which is the nation's primary and central police force. The Supreme Court helps in maintaining justice as well as ensuring the government is working efficiently.
Geography
Lugrad claims Bir Tawil. As well as this, the nation claims parts of Antartica as overseas territory.
Culture
There are two national languages which are English and Spanish. The preservation of national linguistics is overseen by the Commissioner of Languages and the Department of Culture. Like languages, media is also overseen by the Department of Culture. Media in the nation is state controlled. Media in the republic cannot be produced unless it has the approval of the government.
National Symbols
The main national symbol is the republic's flag. It is heavily inspired by the Cuban flag. It consists of 5 blue and yellow stripes, a red triangle and a white star. The blue stripes represent unity, the yellow stripes represent hope, the red represents the Workers Party and the star represents the citizens.
