A Minister of State is a mid-tier Minister of the Crown in the Government of Bastara. Like other ministers they are appointed by the Monarch of Bastara and serve at their pleasure.
Duties
Ministers of State oversee departments within larger government ministries. They report to the prime minister and their department's secretary of state. Ministers of State undertake certain delegated duties.
Hierarchy
Ministers of State are junior to the Prime Minister and Secretaries of State. However they are senior to civil servants in each government ministry and department.
