The Minister of Internal Affairs, sometimes the Internal Affairs Minister, is the executive head of the Department of Internal Affairs. The incumbent is a member of the cabinet and a key advisor to the President of the United Federation on matters pertaining to things such as matters of land and some aspects of citizenship policy alongside the Minister of Homeland Security.
Role
The internal affairs minister and their department are responsible for the management and conservation of most federal land and infrastructure along with natural resources. As well as this the minister and their department oversees the issuance passports to Aumarean citizens. Oversight of agencies such as the National Park Service also falls to the Internal Affairs Minister and their department. The minister also use to oversee immigration services until that role was given to the Department of Homeland Security.
The minister works closely with the homeland security minister.
Appointment
Under the appointment clause of the constitution, the minister is appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate.
