The Vishwamitran Ambassador to the Kingdom of Mayursia is the official representative of the Rashtradhyaksh of Vishwamitra and the government of Vishwamitra to the monarch and the government of Mayursia. The ambassador is appointed by the Rashtradhyaksh at the recommendation of the Minister of External Affairs. The position is held by Dinesh Rajagopalan who is the inaugural holder of the office and has been in office since 15 August 2024.
Unlike the representative offices in the macronations, the diplomatic missions accredited to the recognized states are full-fledged and often non-residential. Informal relations with Mayursia began in 2022 and formal bilateral and diplomatic relations were established following the signing of a mutual recognition treaty on 22 May 2023. Formal diplomatic appointments were made following the opening of the embassy on 15 August 2024, and the position of the ambassador is regarded as one of the most prestigious posts in the Foreign Service due to the special relationship between Vishwamitra and Mayursia.
Duties
The ambassador's main duty is to present Vishwamitran policies to the government of Mayursia and its people, as well as report Mayursian policies and views to the federal government of Vishwamitra. The ambassador serves as a primary channel of communication between the two nations and plays an important role in treaty negotiations.
