This micronation is no longer in existence. It attempted to become independent from the Ohio Republic in late 2019. This failed and the nation was dissolved on January 1, 2020. All of the territory was given to the Ohio Republic. This article is now to be used as an archive to the history of the Ohio Republic.

The Kingdom of Plain is a former micronation that declared independence from the Ohio Republic. It's founding date was disputed between 1809 or 2019.
Etymology
The name of the micronation comes from the area it is located in, Plain Township.
Territory Dispute
The micronation is also in a dispute between it and the Ohio Republic over who controls the territory. The Ohio Republic was founded on December 24, 2017. It states the territory belongs to them due to the founding of the Kingdom of Plain after the Ohio Republic. While, the Kingdom of Plain claims that they were founded in 1809. At first, there was no official conflict occurring. Now, as of December 18, 2019 the Kingdom has officially declared war on the Ohio Republic.
Ohio-Plain War
The Ohio Republic and the Kingdom of Plain are officially at war. The declaration was made by the Kingdom and was sent to the Ohio Republic on December 18, 2019. The Ohio Republic was unable to reason with the kingdom over their dispute. Both sides are gathering their forces as fast as possible to try and get an upper hand.
Christmas Truce
The Ohio Republic and the Kingdom of Plain have come to an agreement to stop all fighting on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, 2019. The idea was proposed by Ohio Republic president Tyler. After the battle of Christmas Eve Eve, the two nations agreed that it would be morally wrong to have fighting occur on both days. Also, the agreement states that the soldiers of both sides may return to their families if they wish to.

The Surrender of the Kingdom
After The Battle of the Painted Rock, the Kingdom of Plain officially surrendered. They decided to officially dissolve the kingdom at 12:00 AM on January 1, 2020. All territory was to be given to the Ohio Republic, this includes all of their colonies. The Ohio Republic decided to declare all of the former colonies of the kingdom as territories. This is to be a temporary solution to the issue and will someday be addressed.
Politics and government
The leaders of the Kingdom of Plain are unknown because they wish to conceal their identity. The government is an absolute monarchy with a legislature that is there only to put a "better face" on the nation. It has no actual power.
Counsel Seats
The Counsel meetings are held every Sunday. The King/Queen declares their opinion on an issue and everybody else follows that too. This makes the King/Queen look very well in the eyes of the people. Thus, spreading support for them.

Foreign relations
The Kingdom of Plain refuses to enter into foreign relations with other nations due to it's isolationist beliefs.

The Kingdom of Plain has made claim to many territories around the world. They are part of the "sphere of influence" they strive to create. They aim to control disputed and uninhabited territories.

Economy
Information is limited about the Economy of the nation. What we do know is that the nation has a government controlled Economy.
Culture
Because the nation doesn't entirely 'exist' there isn't a true culture in the region. The government wishes to transform the region into what they see fit. This includes changing the appearance of the buildings and the overall landscape to their liking. It is unknown how such a project would be accomplished due to them not having the ability to pay for it.
Media
The media in the nation is highly regulated by the government to ensure there is no questioning the government's authority.
Perception
The people in the area they lay claim to have mixed beliefs on weather to support the Kingdom or not. The Kingdom does send 'spies' to spread support for their leadership.
If They Win
If the Kingdom does gain their independence, they would quickly begin a purge of the territory for anyone who is deemed an enemy of the state. The people would be forced into a strict set of laws such as a dress code for both males and females. Any currency in circulation would become worthless within the nation, they would enforce the use of the newly created currency (The government would also collect all other money).
They state that within one year of total control:
- The new culture would be complete.
- The rebuilding of the structures and landscape would be mostly complete (not sure how)
- The military will be more powerful than their neighbors.
- Any sign left of the old ways would be eradicated.
