The July 2010 Conservative Party National Convention was only national convention held by the Secundomian Conservative Party. The convention was a 3 day event held between on July 12 and 14 2010. The convention included platform building, speeches and elections for multiple positions within the party.

Sequence of Events

July 12

The convention opened at 4:00 Secundomian Standard Time on July 12. Chairman Parker I opened the convention with an iteration of schedule. In addition, he quickly opened up voting on several resolutions proposed by party members. Nominations for the July 2010 Conservative Party Elections also began.

July 13

During the morning sessions Parker I nominated himself for all three positions, chairman, Presidential Candidate, and Representative to the ICA. Luke of Secundomia soon announced his bid for presidential nomination. The core base of the party typically supported either Parker or Luke, but the majority of the Secundomian population was behind former president Spencer. Splitting this base would pose a challenge

In the afternoon, former President Spencer I soon nominated himself once again. Spencer held power over a much larger voting base was now larger than Parker and Luke, with a significant amount of active voters polled to support his campaign. After Spencer's announcement, Parker decided to suspend his campaign and endorse Luke.

July 14

On the final day of the Convention, elections were held. Luke of Secundomia won the critical nomination for President, defeating Spencer I 3-1. Parker, who ran unopposed in the other two positions, was elected Chairman and Representative to the ICA. Resolutions to maintain membership in the ICA, adoption of the Slinky Freedom Party and Objectivism as a political platform passed. A resolution to adopt Individualism failed due to lack of support.
