Gwladcoeden, officially County Gwladcoeden (Welsh: Sir Gwladcoeden) but also known as Caudonian Wales (Welsh: Cymru Côdoneg), was a 635.26 m2 parcel of land located in Brecknockshire, Powys, Wales. It was one of 2 Caudonian counties located in the United Kingdom.

Etymology

Gwladcoeden is Welsh for "Tree land". It was named this due to the fact the territory is heavily forested.

History

Gwladcoeden was founded in 2018 by Iacof ap Antoni, Carlo Williams and Richard "the pot" Griffym. The trio created Gwladcoeden in a forested area in the hills in the outskirts of their town as a fun side project. Gwladcoeden continued until mid 2019 when the three boys graduated from high school and went their separate ways.

In October 2020 Iacof ap Antoni decided to reform Gwladcoeden as a county of Caudonia. However, this proved to be short-lived as on the 8th of December the county was dissolved as part of the Gwladcoeden and Ozarkia Dissolution Act, 2020.

The county would later go on to be reformed as an independent micronation called the Republic of Gwladcoeden.

Politics

Throughout its existence the county was politically dominated by the Liberal Party.
