Current Role

Infantry Role

The Grenadier Guards are a light infantry regiment of the Wellmoorean Army. They may be called to arms at any time to fight for the kingdom.

All members of the Grenadiers are trained as infantry soldiers first, and ceremonial soldiers second.

Ceremonial Role

The Grenadier Guards have a shared duty to protect Royal Palaces (along with other sites around Wellmoore), along with the other Guards Regiments.

Changing of the Guard

After guarding the Royal Palaces for a 24 Hour period, the Changing of the Guard Ceremony takes place where the outgoing and incoming Guards Regiments perform drill to signify the change of the On-Guard Regiments.

Trooping of the Colour

On the Monarch's birthday the Guards Regiments muster and each take annual turns to parade their colour in front of the monarch. The Ensign of the Grenadier Guards is paraded by the Ensign of the Guard, the most junior Officer in the regiment.

The colour of the Grenadier Guards is to show the Regiment's Battle Honours, representing the regimental history. When the colour is presented passed the monarch, the current monarch acknowledges the honours it represents.
