The Flags of the Arstotzkan Union has been a something that has changed so much over the past two years. With the first Flag being a recreation of the American Flag but in a theme similar to the title Papers Please. In its history, the Arstotzkan Union has had four flags.

Like many other parts of the Arstotzkan Union, the flag was never officially codified rather it was adopted as the de facto flag of the Arstotzkan Union. On 31 August 2023 the executive committee passed the Flags, National Symbols and State Images Protection Act 2023 which set out under Section 1(1) the flag of the Arstotzkan Union is officially codified and is:

[...] considered the sole flag of the Arstotzkan Union and its peoples.

History

The first flag of the Arstotzkan Union was adopted sometime after the creation of the Arstotzkan Union, however it is unknown as to when that date is due to the fact that the first Constitution of the Arstotzkan Union was destroyed at the start of the First Civil Conflict of the Arstotzkan Union on September 18, 2019. This flag became the official flag of the Arstotzkan Union until December 3, 2019, when the next flag was adopted. This became the official flag from December 3, 2019, till October 3, 2020. The next flag of the Arstotzkan Union came in on October 3, 2020, and was created by Sergeant Major Jack Miller, however it was removed as the flag of the Arstotzkan Union due to the fact that it was discovered that Jack Miller had not created the flag, rather used one found off the internet and on December 10, 2020, the Peoples Banner, became the official flag of the Arstotzkan Union. The Peoples Banner is the first flag to have a name rather than "Flag of the Arstotzkan Union".

Flags

Flag of the Arstotzkan Union (23 August 2019 - 3 December 2019)

The First Flag of the Arstotzkan Union. Used from 23 August 2019 - 3 December 2019

The first Flag of the Arstotzkan Union was created sometime in August 2019, following the establishment of the nation. It served as the flag until after the First Civil Conflict, when it was replaced by the next flag. This was one of the controversial flags due to the fact it was found on the internet rather than being created like other flags. This is the only flag in the Arstotzkan Union to not have a red background.

Flag of the Arstotzkan Union (3 December 2019 - October 10, 2020)

The second Flag of the Arstotzkan Union was the first to be created for the Arstotzkan Union. It was made on the 3 December 2019 and was in use until 10 October 2020. It is also the first flag to have purpose and meaning behind its various symbols. The Red on the flag symbolises Communism and Socialism and is the same colour as the red on the flag of the USSR, the eagle is the Arstotzkan Eagle, the black bars represent the lifelong alliance with New Zealand and the grey stands for the concrete grounds of the Arstotzkan Union.

The Second Flag of the Arstotzkan Union. Used from 3 December 2019 - 10 October 2020. It is regarded as the most controversial flags for its more Germanic Look

The flag stirred controversy due to its look being very Germanic and similar to that of Nazi Germany, however the National Government claimed heavily that it held no resemblance.

Flag of the Arstotzkan Union (10 October 2020 - 10 December 2020)

The third Flag of the Arstotzkan Union was created on 10 October 2020 and was removed on 10 December 2020 in favour of the People's Banner. This flag was the second most controversial in part that it was also found off the internet rather than created. This is similar to the first Flag of the Arstotzkan Union back in 2019. The flag had major influence of the creation of the Peoples Banner, for example the golden olive branches were replaced by wings of a yellow Arstotzkan Eagle and the Arstotzkan Eagle in the centre was replaced with a yellow hammer and sickle. The star above it all was replaced with a yellow and red Soviet Star. This would be the last flag of the Arstotzkan Union to be taken from the internet.
