the five groschen coin is a Marquetten Carlogian coin replacing the older 25 dukespiece coin which was also worth ¼ a dukesmark however due to the redenomination the 25 coin has an actual worth of ℳ~/1/3

History

March mintage poll

The 5/~ coin was designed prior to the March mintage poll as the third highest denomination of coin. during this period it was going to be a bimetallic coin. With the introduction of the Guinea, 1, and 2 dukesmark coins it was changed to be a nickel alloy. along with the 10/~ coin which was originally planned to be minted of nordic gold.

The colonial 5/~ series is a circulating commemorative series based on the american state quarters where the reverse is designed by the Colonial governments.

Astronomy series

the 5/~ coins of the astronomy series features the moons of uranus and their namesake characters.
