Felsenia, officially known as the Republic of Felsenia, is a landlocked micronation located in North America. It claims sovereignty over areas in the United States. It was created after the fall of the Monarchy of Rote Berge and claimed all the former lands of Rote Berge

Felsenia is a unitary parliamentary republic with a President serving as the head of state and a Prime Minister serving as the head of government. The government is heavily based on Rhodesia. The government in mostly dominated by the nationalist Felsenia Front with the only opposition being the indpendents

Etymology

Felsenia's name comes from the German word for rock, 'Felsen'. The reason for the choice of word is because it sounded good and the amount of lava rocks around the country.

History

The country came to be after Ethan had the idea of micronations after research of Kevin Baugh. After learning more about government and politics, he established the Kingdom of Rote Berge. After a while of being a monarchy, people began to get tired of a monarchy and he toppled the old monarchy in favour of a republic.

Politics and government

The government is a parliamentary republic, with a bicameral legislature. The upper house, the Senate, consists of the President of the Senate, and all the cabinet members. The lower house, the House of Assembly, consists of the Speaker of the House, and all the elected lawmakers.

The current government, the Hofmann government, headed by Ethan H., was elected on 26 March in the 2023 Felsenian general election and holds majority seats in the House of Assembly.

Law and order

All citizens and visiting tourists are subject to the Criminal Code of Felsenia. So far there have been no crimes committed.

As per the constitution, the law enforcement of Felsenia is split into three different branches, they are the Felsenian National Police Service, the Felsenian Southern Utah Police, and the Felsenian Prison Service. The FSUP is considered to be a paramilitary unit, serving both as law enforcement and as a military reserve unit.

Military

The Felsenian Security Forces has two branches, the Felsenian Army and the Felsenian Air Force. It is headed by the Commander in Chief who is also the Prime Minister.

The current Commander in Chief is The Right Honourable Ethan H. and the current Minister of Defence is vacant.
