During the early years of the micronation, each monarch was responsible for a single branch of the military (Baron Biff, Head of the Air Force, Queen KD, Head of the Army, and Elliot Crook, Head of the Navy) with the exception of Joshua Thompson, who was the head of the entire military. The military was underfunded, but large in comparison to the current Sovereignavian State's military.
September Coup
On the morning of September 18th, 2023, after returning from his trip to The Republic of Molossia, executed a coup, consolidating loyalty, and deposing the Monarchy. Although no military conflicts took place during the coup, military high staff announced martial law, and exiled Baron Biff and Queen KD.
Military Junta
For a week after the hostile takeover and exile of the monarchs from Sovereignavia, a Military Junta was put in power, with Joshua Thompson at the head. The Military Junta was eventually ended when 50% of the population signed the Constitution of Sovereignavia.
The Onion War
The Onion War was a conflict between Sovereignavia, and vegetables labeled as dangerous by the Head of State that lasted between October 17th and October 18th of 2023

Background
Tensions between Sovereignavia and Onions date back to before the nation was founded. A sizable portion of the Sovereignavian State's population worked, multiple times, to weed Onion Patches owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, this fueled bitter opinions of Onions in the Sovereignavian people.
The Bishop Storehouse Volunteer Force
On the 17th of October, 2023, some Sovereignavian forces (Head of State Joshua Thompson included) volunteered with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to help supply a Bishop Store house. The force consisted of citizen Anna Thompson, Head of State Joshua Thompson, and three American citizens considering joining Sovereignavia. The volunteer force joined members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and they left for the Bishop Storehouse at approximately 7:35 PM, MDT.
Military Operations
The volunteer force arrived at the Bishop Storehouse at approximately 7:55 PM, MDT, and were assigned various tasks, Sovereignavian citizen Anna Thompson and Head of State Joshua Thompson were assigned to prepare onions for distribution. While military operations were being conducted, rivalries began to form within Sovereignavian forces. At around 8:04 PM, MDT, Sovereignavian forces were overwhelmed by onions, but after re-assessing their capabilities, and factions in the military making a truce, Onion forces were eventually vanquished at 8:07 PM, MDT, and Sovereignavian and Sovereignavia-friendly forces were ready to withdrawal.
The Jacket Hostage
While withdrawing, Sovereignavia left behind the Head of State's Jacket and the contents within. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints retrieved the jacket, despite this, Head of State Joshua Thompson blamed the Onion forces for the loss of equipment. Around 3:35 PM, MDT on October 18th, 2023, Joshua Thompson was informed that his jacket was returned safely to his home. This marked the end of the Onion War, however, tensions between the Sovereignavian State's Federal Government and Onions are still high.
