The Ljetzan Oberliga is the only senior tier of association football in Ljetzan, founded in 2022 as the Ljetzan National League after the independence of the principality. It was announced in August 2022 by the Ljetzan Football Association. The league is supported by the Ljetzan Erste Liga for U23 sides.
Format
The eight clubs that play in the league play each other two times in the same venue. The last placed of the relegation round is relegated to Erste Liga, the second highest football league in Ljetzan and reserved to U23 teams.
The winner of the league wins a place in the UEFA Champions League qualifications round, while the runners-up of the league and the Cup winner win a place in the UEFA Europa League qualifications round.
Starting from 2025, to align with the L.F.A. strategy, the league will expand to 10 teams, bringing the number of relegated teams to two for each season.
