The Ljetzan Rundfunk is the major and only broadcasting channel in the Principality of Ljetzan. The channel is known for broadcasting news bulletins, talk shows, reality television, drama series, sitcoms, cartoons, and infotainment.
The first broadcast is scheduled for the first days of July 2024, with a speech to the nation by the Prince.
History
Ljetzan Rundfunk was started by Prince Peter in January 2024. The channel began operation after being licensed by the Ljetzan government under the leadership of businessman Karl Konig.
Politics, society, culture and sport form the main contents of the programme. According to the survey, the station's awareness in the state is over ninety per cent. Managing Director Sandra Woldt also hosts various programs and acts as editor-in-chief.
In December 2024, it was announced that the channel would seek European Broadcasting Union membership in the coming years.
Content and programming
The content mainly consists of three kinds of formats: documentaries, magazines and news programmes. Although other content is shown, Ljetzan Rundfunk mainly covers six sectors of the "luxury" and lifestyle market:

The Rundfunk produces and distributes all its programmes in high definition (HD) with their own production teams or through external production companies. Some Pay TV operators may choose to distribute the channel in standard-definition.
From Monday to Thursday, the Ljetzan.Today section broadcasts news from the principality. These programs are produced with the cooperation of AFP. From Friday to Sunday, the Ljetzan.Week section proposes a selection of the best of the previous week's programming.
Some lifestyle reports are broadcast live, such as the ascension of Prince Peter in 2020 and the ratification of the constitution in July 2023.

The programs, are all produced in high definition and are transmitted via YouTubeThe channel broadcasts in four languages: English, Cimbrian, German and Italian with further languages planned in the future.
