Vaterland (lit. "Fatherland") is the largest online newspaper in Ljetzan. Published by Prinz Medienhaus AG, it has been the official newspaper of the principality since its foundation.

History

With the birth of the principality, it was necessary to have a press that informed the population about the events of the country, in 2020 a group of three citizens including the prince (at the time Prince Regent) founded Fatherland.

Right from the start the newspaper publishes its articles exclusively online, with publications every two days until 2022, later increased to three.

In the last months of 2024, a subscription service will be launched, which will see the possibility for those who will subscribe to receive a weekly paper copy of one of the three-day publications.

In order to be considered as an independent voice, political parties and all political associations cannot finance the newspaper in any way, even through editorial projects or advertising sponsorships.
