Use this guide with common sense and read it thoroughly; your article should be based on this guide but should not be a carbon copy of it either. Source editing is greatly preferred over Visual Editing, as the latter tends to trash pages. Editing this guide in source will also help you familiarize yourself with wikitext and will allow you to see important technical functions that visual editor will omit.
- Anything surrounded by <nowiki></nowiki> will force the software to display plain text. Remove it wherever it appears in this guide.
- Parts of this guide intended to be filled in with your own info will be encased in single curly brackets: {example}
- Text surrounded by <!-- and --> is a comment. These will tell the software to not include the enclosed content on the page entirely, and are present to help you as you're editing the page in source. Remove it after you have completed filling in the infobox and adding categories.

Etymology
The name of Cubopolis (English: /kjuːbˈɑːpəliz/, Spanish: /kuβo'polis/) comes from the Ancient Greek Κύβοπολις. It consists of a combination between the words "cubo" (from Ancient Greek κύβος) meaning "cube" and "polis" (from Ancient Greek πολις) meaning "city, human settlement". The first records of use of this name date back to the 6th century BC, in an Ancient Greek text where the island of Kύβο Πoλις (Cubopolis) is mentioned. That name then evolved to the word Kύβoπολις, and to Modern Greek Kουβοπολη. The spanish settlers used the Modern Greek name and transformed it into the Spanish name Cubópolis. There are several theories about the origin of the Greek name, but currently the most accepted theory claims that the name may come from some metal pieces made by the first cubopolitan artisans, with a cubic shape, called "Los Cubos de Alique" (The Alique cubes). These pieces are thought to be jewellry elements, which were sold to ancient Greek merchants. An inhabitant of Cubopolis is called a "Cubopolitan" (Spanish: Cubopolitano, Cubopolitana). This name is formed like the word "metropolitan", which comes from the word "metropolis" (Spanish "metrópolis - metropolitano).
