The Albalongean Security Forces (ASF), or Albalongean Forces (AF) are the armed forces of the Principality. The institution comprises of land and sea elements part of the Albalongean Home Guard.

The titular head of the Security Forces is Commandant in-chief, His Serene Royal Highness Prince Manuel Maria.

Structure

The Albalongean Security Forces are commanded by the sovereign and head of state, Prince Manuel Maria as Commander in-chief, who gives commands to the Chief of Defense Staff, who will act upon, or broadcast these commands .The Chief also has the authority to give key commands. The King, however, remains the ultimate authority of the military, with officers and personnel swearing allegiance to himself.

The CoDS is the professional head of the Security Forces, any personnel holding the rank of Lieutenant General may be elected in office.

Serene Command for State's Security

The Serene Command for State's Security (or SCCS) is composed of the highest ranking officers that lead every public safety branch in the Principality. The committee is composed of 1 representative per civil force (Civil Defense, National Police) and 1 representative per military force (1 for ASF, 1 for Home Guard, 1 for Riflemen Corp and 1 for Naval Corp), the Secretary of State and the State's defense councilor. The chair of the Command is the Prince.

Defence Staff

The Defence Staff of the Security Forces (it: Stato Maggiore Difesa), composing of professional personnel, has the highest authority in the Forces. The Staff create strategic and tactical preparations and procedures for use in peacekeeping missions and in times of war and is responsible for developing the command structure, creating a plan for soldier recruitment, regulating training curriculum, and performing other tasks determined by the military law.

Albalongean Home Guard

The sovereign is the titular head of this force, while the professional head of it is the Chief of General Staff, which holds the rank of General or Admiral, depending on the specialty. The Home Guard accomodates all the land and sea elements and assets of the Armed Forces.

Personnel

All citizens of the principality between the ages of 16 and 25 are able to volunteer for military service. The service is divided into active and reserve. The officer corps of the Security Forces of the Principality are trained in foreign military schools and in built-in schools in the Principality. Non-commissioned officers of the Security Forces are trained in military schools of the Principality.

Basic tasks of the Security Forces are:

To maintain an optimal level of combat readiness of the Land-based corps.
To fight a possible aggressor's main forces on strategic-operational levels and to defend against any land, air, and amphibious assaults.

To build and develop the capability to respond to requests of non-traditional tasks that are required of the Security Forces.
