A District Sheriff is the head law enforcement officer of a district in Northudankton. Unlike American law enforcement, Northu law enforcement is non-militarized and more focused on community wellbeing. The sheriff is the head of the Community Guard, the local law enforcement agency of each district. Unlike the Northudankton Armed Forces, who are the militarized national defense force, the Community Guard and the branch of the government that focuses on all the aspects you would see with a modern nation's local and state law enforcement agencies but on a smaller and community scale.
